A focused four-hour route from Funchal: the gardens and viewpoint of Monte, the cliff skywalk at Cabo Girão and the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos.

This is one of three suggested half-day routes — each one private and fully customizable. Want to mix stops from different routes or add your own? Just tell us when booking.
The route climbs first to Monte, the hillside neighbourhood above Funchal known for its tropical gardens and the church with the same name. From there the view opens over the city and the bay, and a short drive reaches Pico dos Barcelos, a roadside viewpoint looking back along the south coast.
Continuing west, Cabo Girão is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, with a glass-floored skywalk suspended above the ocean. The final stop is Câmara de Lobos, the fishing village of painted boats and poncha, before returning to Funchal.
This tour suits cruise passengers with a limited window ashore, travellers with an afternoon to spare, and anyone who wants a taste of Madeira's coast and cliffs without committing a full day.
The stops below follow the usual flow of the day. Order and timing stay flexible: weather, road conditions, closures, safety and your own preferences all shape the final route, and we adjust as we go rather than forcing a fixed schedule.
The hillside area above Funchal with tropical gardens and the landmark church, reached by a short climb with wide views over the bay.

A roadside viewpoint with a panoramic view over Funchal, the harbour and the south coast curving towards Cabo Girão.

A glass-floored platform on one of Europe's highest sea cliffs, looking straight down onto terraced fields and the Atlantic.
Skywalk entrance is paid locally and not included.

A working fishing village of painted boats and narrow lanes, and the place where Madeira's poncha tradition is strongest.

A simple view of how the day flows between areas of the island. Distances on Madeira are short in kilometres and long in altitude, so the driving time between stops is part of the scenery.
